Hi Mcbloggies, hope you’re all having a wonderful week! Micah & I spent our first overnight away from Landon since we brought him home this past weekend to shoot a wedding up north. When we got back, we got to celebrate my very first mother’s day! And in true Gilmore fashion, we celebrated with good food & a long family nap, haha. Anyways, we have a 2 part wedding post for ya!
John & Melody (MelIsh or IshMel) had one of the most relaxed & yet detailed weddings. It was such a blessing to be a part of their day, both as part of the wedding party & as a photographer! I couldn’t imagine NOT taking any pictures, so I made sure I got the chance to up until the moment that I needed to be IN the photos – at that point Micah had the amazing Karey Michelle along to shoot with him. And we got the chance to work again with Lilly Tokuyama & her most excellent coordinating skills too – Lilly & Karey, thanks for helping everything to run so smoothly!
So as I mentioned, I started the day with the girls as usual, but also got to get my hair and makeup done this time too. Megumi, Rita, & Stacie took care of all of the bridesmaids, & Natalie Burketov took care of Mel’s hair & makeup. Thanks for making all of us girls look & feel beautiful~ here are some of the details I snapped in between getting ready.
John & Mel opted to do a first look, which we loved. They are already laid back people, but I think the first look totally added to the relaxed feel of the day – we were able to have a lot more time for pictures with the bridal party, & we got images like these:
Then it was off for pictures of the bridal party at the Noguchi Gardens –
