Hi Mcbloggies!
Hope you’re having a wonderful week – we are already halfway through MAY – as my husband would say, ‘that’s crazy sauce!’ May happens to be the trifecta month for celebrations in the Gilmore house – within a 2 1/2 week period is Mother’s Day, my birthday, and our anniversary. Also my mom’s birthday, Micah’s finals for Talbot, & usually a lot of end of semester projects, & of course – weddings! Within a one month period (if you go to June) it’s graduation season for our Jr High/HS/college kids + Micah’s bday too. We love it, even though we never know exactly how we’re going to make it through every year…and we’re super glad Landon was not born anywhere near May/June, haha!
It was exactly when we were having a whirlwind type week not too long ago that Kacy + Joel were kind enough to give us a care package to cheer us on. Smart water, Annie’s bunny grahams (they mix 3 flavors!), fruit snacks, & trail mix…not only was it extremely delicious & very kind of them, it really reminded me of the caring culture of Mt. Hermon youth camps. Which totally makes sense, since they met there!
Kacy + Joel are getting married this weekend, & we’re super excited for them! When we sat down with them to talk wedding photography, we left the meeting feeling so refreshed, & we felt really encouraged when Kacy emailed us like immediately after we met to say “we choose you!” =) We hope you enjoy their images & can feel all of the warmth in these two.
We hung out together in Seal Beach on an unusually FREEZING SoCal day. Props to Kacy for looking so awesome while freezing in her sundress!
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted one of these, considering they happen AT EVERY SHOOT. This is the classic “here’s how I want you to pose aka I just want to sit close to your man”…

I love this series. “Oh hey, we’re on the same bench.” “I’m a bit sleepy.” “Ok, I’m not sleepy…aw we’re holding hands!”
Kacy + Joel, can’t wait to celebrate with you! We’re still amazed that you’ve managed to plan both a wedding and a camp – YOUR May & June must be crazy sauce this year! Thanks for being so much fun, for encouraging us in our work both at church & with our cameras, & for including us in your big day. ~the gilmore’s
