Hi Mcbloggies, I’m a little late on this one, but I’m really trying to keep up with the monthly pictures! May (as previously stated) was one of our crazysauce months. Hence, most of my pictures of May are from my phone. And most of my pictures are of Landon – I guess that’s what happens when you have a baby, every single picture is of them! So, I’m sorry if you don’t find his every expression as amusing as I do, but I want to remember what he looked like in May ’11! Here’s the next installment of the “Last Month” series: pictures of May!

We started off the month with our new pediatrician who we couldn’t feel MORE comfortable with – and that is super important. Landon loves him too, he laughed out loud when the doctor checked his tummy! But with the checkup our boy had to get his shots too, so we had one fever day – shot days are tough:

 

Micah & I had our first overnight away from our boy as we flew up north to shoot Chris + Anna’s wedding. We flew back in on Mother’s Day, & celebrated my very first mother’s day going to the church I grew up at along with grandma & grandpa who watched him over the weekend. And then we took a family nap (the same thing we all did for Valentine’s Day, hah). Here’s pictures that mom (I) took of Landon with Daddy – the top one is from mother’s day, the bottom one is how I often find them hanging out –

Landon started eating solid foods & sitting in his booster aka entertainment seat! Look how excited he is (or how cross-eyed he gets when he is excited!)

 

 

We celebrated another year of life for me, & I started the day off with Landon & a yummy bday breakfast of lemon blueberry pancakes, a mocha, turkey bacon, fried egg,  & fresh strawberries, mmmm!

Later we went out for sushi with along with Megumi, & then off to the happiest place on earth for dessert…

Micah had his finals at Talbot, & finished his papers early so that we could go on an early anniversary date. We got to check out the new Star Tours early, & had a free dinner thanks to a gift from a friend.

And then the next day Landon’s other grandma watched him so we could go on our staycation to celebrate our 4th anniversary! I love fresh flowers, & I received so many this month – for mother’s day (sunflowers), my birthday (purple roses), & for our anniversary, 2 of my favorite favorites – peonies & tulips! We had an AMAZING dinner at the chef’s counter at Napa Rose…we’ll share pictures of the food another time I think. As Liz Lemon from 30 Rock would say, “I want to go there!” (and you should go there. trust. me. you. will. LOVE. it!!!)

and we’ll end with some more pictures of landon & his dad – in honor of father’s day coming up. One morning I got out of the shower & found Landon lying on my pillow (he had woken up from his morning nap & dad had brought him to our room). Landon was awake, & poking Dad’s goatee.

Oh, we also celebrated a special birthday for my mom – we dined in the private room at Roy’s Anaheim with our family & my parent’s close friends. My dad asked each of us to share memories of when we met my mom & how she blesses us. It was a blessing for me to hear stories of decades past from my mom & dad’s friends who’ve known them in all different stages & seasons of their life, & also a blessing for me to thank her for who she has been to me, especially in the past year.

And last, another one of Landon and his best bud. Micah is so proud to be a dad, he just beams. And our little baby is growing up so fast – he’s a happy guy most of the time, loves to eat & loves to sleep (hmmm…sounds a lot like…his parents?) And he loves TV. like his Dad. (ok so Mom loves TV too, like watching re-runs of Las Vegas lately).

 

So there you have crazy May! We’re already in June, can’t wait to see what’s in store =)
